Situated in the heart of the West Coast, an hour away from Cape Town, you’ll find Buffelsfontein Game & Nature Reserve. This 1600 ha family owned reserve is home to some of Africa’s greats such as Lion, Buffalo, White Rhino and Giraffe. Visitors can either enjoy an unforgettable guided game drive. Guests can expect nothing less than mouth watering traditional goodness when dinning at the Buffelsfontein restaurant. With a selection of light meals to more hearty main meals, everyone in the family will find something that suites their taste buds.

Buffelsfontein reserve is home to 4 of the Big 5 (Lion, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard), Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Eland, Oryx, Blue Wildebeest, Mountain Reedbuck, Red Hartebeest and much more. We advise guests to always wear comfortable clothes and weather appropriate clothing and remember the sunblock. Feeding of carnivores are Mondays – Saturdays and forms part of the afternoon full guided game drives. Please note no self-driving is allowed.
