A trip to Knysna is not complete without a cruise on the pristine Knysna Lagoon, home to the world famous Knysna Heads and many species of bird and marine life. Join us onboard the “Oyster Boat” for a memorable, leisurely 75 minute long cruise to the famous Knysna Heads and back. Sit back and relax, enjoy the feeling of our African sun on your face, the wind in your hair, while viewing Knysna from a unique vantage. Enjoy hearing all about one of SA’s favourite coastal towns, Knysna, from a local, homegrown perspective!
Cruises depart daily from our Activity Desk at TH23, Heads Up Coffee & Co. Please remember your camera, sunblock, sunhat and wind breaker (just in case!). Drinks and snacks are not provided on this cruise, but guests are welcome to purchase drinks from the cafe and bring them onboard. And remember – our boat is perfect for families and children of all ages are welcome.

Please note: Guests are required to be at the boat 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. We are based at our Activity Desk at TH23,Heads Up Coffee & Co. Thesen Island Harbour Town, Sawtooth, Knysna.

We wanted to visit the Heads and explore the lagoon a bit during our 4 day stay in Knysna. We were delighted with the trip and experience that we had with Knsyna Heads Boat Tour. The staff at the office were very friendly and kept us informed about what was happening until we left to get on the boat. We considered ourselves lucky that we had the boat to ourselves - I guess not many people want to go out on the lagoon at 9am on a Sunday morning! Our guide, though relatively new, was excellent. He told us lots about the lagoon and Knysna itself and answered my many questions with patience and great fortitude! A thoroughly enjoyable 75 mins spent on the water. Thank you. - Valerie Scott

Included in the 1 hour Segway tour is a 15-20 minute training session on our training course as part of your 1 hour Segway experience. After the training, we take a journey through the quaint Stormsriver Village and follow one of a selection of routes among cool pine forest and indigenous forest. If you are up for more, join us on the 2 hour tour we take a journey through the quaint Stormsriver Village and further into the forest.

The Segway PT (Personal Transporter) is exceptionally easy and safe to use. Before each tour, guests receive a comprehensive orientation by an experienced official Segway trainer. This training takes between 15 and 20 minutes per group and covers important safety and operational procedures.
Before the tour embarks, the guide ensures that everyone is 100% comfortable on the Segway PT. An obstacle course will enable the riders to practice and build confidence before the tour starts.
